Ok, so the video below is a bit dated, but I just came across it today over at Matt’s blog.
I have often wondered about people. How can people become so caught up in something that isn’t real? How can people be fooled so easily? Politicians have been doing it for years…. leading a group of people to believe in a thing that is far from reality. I see the deception involved in politics and how it tends to lead a certain group of citizens down the road of ignorance. What is it about people that allows them to fall into this trap?
I wish we knew these answers, as I am sure it would make our country a better place – to push away from the ignorance and into the truth.
I realize that it is only God that can change a person, so in these crazy political times, that we as a nation face, I pray & hope He does so quickly. I watch millions cling to a candidate that portrays something far from who he really is. I see our citizens marching in step with an agenda that I fear might lead us to ultimate destruction.
I truly believe we as a country must stand up, we must seek the truth and we must rely on God to intervene in our ignorance. May we truly be the country we were founded to be and may we reclaim our righteousness at the same time.
