So, I guess it is now official.. the news reporting in the country is in sad shape. Today, as I surfed around on the web, I found this news report.
It is a nice story, but makes me wonder what is really going on in the news world, if we actually have time to report on stuff like this. LOL (Guess that I have nothing going on to blog about it either -LOL)
According to the story, this UPS driver has driven the same van for the past 22 years. He just recently turned 1,000,000 miles on his van.
Apparently this van has had 3 engines and received multiple paint jobs over the years. Another milestone for this driver is he managed to drive all these miles without accident.
I did the math… 1 million miles divided by 22 years averages out to about 45,000 miles per year. I guess that is a lot of driving considering he is located in Palestine, Texas. I can easily see the drivers in Dallas, Texas averaging much higher mileage per year, but that is only my guess.
So, nonetheless, congrats to this UPS driver on not having any wrecks. I hope that he receives a mega bonus from UPS.
